Jaakko Mattila: Lowest Common Denominator

The Finnish Jaakko Mattila (born 1976) studied fine arts in England graduating from The Surrey Institute
of Art & Design University College in 2001.
Mattila's work reflects the Finnish design and its simple and functional aesthetics.
Applying several methods of visual expression he works in oil, acrylic and watercolor paint and also
utilizes print techniques.
The scale of his work ranges from small to monumental but irrespective of technique or size
they retain the same meditative spirit.
